Disability Insurance

Your credit union offers optional credit disability insurance. If you are off work for more than 30 days, this insurance will start making your payments for you until you return to work.

The injury or illness does not have to be job related. Almost any injury or illness, as long as a doctor states that you cannot return to work, is insured as long as it is not pre-existing.

Periodic updates of your medical records might be required to support your claim.
